Welcome to apply to our 10-month student program FREE and FUN to graders of 6-11.
Program:
- Immersion-based, language-intensive and culturally-focused curricula;
- Virtual exchanges and meaningful use of language in real-life contexts;
- Making friends and having fun.
Content:
- Chinese language class with the theme “Discovering China” for 6rd – 11th graders (For students under grade 6, please go to Little Dragon Summer Camp);
- Hands-on activities like folk art, calligraphy, Chinese traditional painting, paper-cutting, abacus, martial arts (Tai Chi), singing & dancing, music performance & crafts;
- Lots of fun cultural activities.
Dates & Time:
- Feb 18 – May 20, 2023 (online), ten-weekend pre-camp virtual classes, once a week;
- June 12 – June 23, 2023 (in-person), Monday – Friday, 8: 30 am – 3:00 pm daily;
- August 19 – December 9, 2023 (online), follow-up twelve-weekend virtual classes, once a week.
Please be aware this is a 10-month program. Participants are encouraged to attend all the weeks.

Cost:
The whole 10-month program is FREE, with lunch & snacks offered for free too.
Eligibility to participate:
- Students aged 11-18 or 6-11 graders in 2022-2023 school year in the greater Kansas City metro area;
- Underserved, marginalized, and rural populations are encouraged specifically to apply and participate.
